Welcome to the new Hope for the Hopeless blog where we will document our journey in aiding the children of Eastern Africa. Our main mission is simple: rescue girls from early childhood marriages, forced labor and desperate circumstances.
Hope for the Hopeless provides funding to the Wadada Ministry, which currently supports more than 60 children in Africa, providing housing, nourishment, education, healthcare and the tools needed for a brighter future. Results from the program are astonishing. Our graduates have gone on to vocational schools and one is working on his Master’s Degree. They’re able to open up their own businesses, from making and selling clothing to accounting.
However, while these children are thriving, the drought in Eastern Africa worsens and more children are living in dangerous situations. The Wadada Ministry is receiving weekly requests for entry into the program. While the Wadada Ministry focusses on rescuing girls, more boys than ever are applying to the program to escape the dire circumstances caused by the drought. Without additional funding, we are forced to turn kids away.
Please consider donating today to Hope for the Hopeless. Every dollar of your donation goes directly to rescuing and supporting desperate children.
Thank you,
Everyone at Hope for the Hopeless
