It has been a very busy month for Wadada. Rev Nelly, Samson and I have been overwhelmed with request from young people to be considered for the Wadada Ministry. The drought continues. In many areas, large groups of remote villages have not received any rain, period. The grass has withered. Times are very desperate in many of the areas we serve in.
A few weeks ago, we brought Hannah back into the project. At 17, she has escaped early marriage twice by running away to safe houses. We also were able to add another young woman, Elizabeth, who was also going to be sold for early marriage. Their families can no longer take care of them. Elizabeth is in the 7th grade, and Hannah is in the 10th grade. Thankfully, we were able to get a sponsor for Elizabeth, and Hannah was already in the system. Sadly, we have another girl being offered for marriage, and for the first time at least 6 boys have reached out looking for sponsors, but without additional funding, we are unable to help.
Please consider donating to Hope for the Hopeless to provide a safe and bright future for these children and more.
Thank you,
Ken Yockey
