We are always impressed with our Wadada Student’s leadership skills, but nothing showcases their abilities more than the Children’s Rallies. Currently, more than 700 children are attending a Children’s Rally hosted by the Wadada Ministry (led by Reverend Nelly) in Torosei in Kenya.
During the rally, our Wadada Students join Rev. Nelly, Children’s Ministry Leader Mary, and other leaders, in guiding and helping the visiting youth. Wadada Students tell stories, lead games, cook and clean. These Rallies would not be possible without the skills and support of our impressive students.
Watch as our student leaders help prepare dinner for more than 700 children. Not an easy task! In this video, Paris and many other Wadada high schoolers are serving food, preparing meals, washing dishes, and tending to the fire and water. They must bring their own fire wood to prepare meals of this size and scale. You can see big pot of rice coming in the background. Rice is the main staple for the children to eat.
We cannot wait to see how each child will learn, grow and thrive! Keep checking back as we add updates from the rally.
