We are so excited to share the news that another one of our incredible Wadada students has been accepted into college. Jackline, who goes by Jackie, hopes to head to college in September to study Science Laboratory Technology, which is a three-year program over six semesters.
Hope for the Hopeless is working behind the scenes to secure funding for Jackie. In order to qualify for the program, Jackie met entry requirements, which include Biology/Biological Sciences, Chemistry/Physical Sciences, Math/Physics, and English/Kiswahili. Sadly, the college is too far away for Jackie to remain at the Wadada Children’s House – the college will provide her a place to live.
Jackie is a true example of the leadership that comes out of the Wadada Children's House. See below for a couple of photos of her as she helped with our latest Children's Rally. From teaching classes to helping prepare meals for more than 700 kids, Jackie always steps up as a leader!
We are so proud of Jackie and cannot wait to see the great things she does with her diploma! Consider making a donation to help Jackie and other Wadada students achieve their collegiate dreams!
