We are thrilled to celebrate our own Reverend Nelly, who received an Honorary Doctor of Ministry this week!
A group of ministers in the town of Ngong nominated Rev. Nelly for the honor for “distinguished and impactful community service” for her humanitarian work with children and women.
We couldn’t agree more that Rev. Nelly deserves this honor. Her selfless sacrifice to home two girls and enroll them in school has grown into the incredible and thriving WADADA Project, giving girls and boys a home, education and security. Her children’s rallies reach and inspire thousands of vulnerable children three times a year. And her daily love and devotion to Christ is palpable to all who know her. Her tireless efforts to end the prevalence child brides, eliminate poverty and educate girls is truly remarkable.
The Honorary Doctorate of Ministry is a well-deserved recognition of Rev. Nelly’s dedication and impact. Her commitment has transformed lives and created a ripple effect of positive change in her community and communities all over Kenya.
The Honorary Doctor of Ministry was awarded by the International Christian University, which is one of the top private universities in Tokyo. Rev. Nelly traveled to Nakuru City for the December 17th ceremony.
Congratulations Reverend Doctor Sarune! We are blessed to be part of your journey and are committed to working alongside you to spread hope, compassion and positive change in the lives of those who need it most. May your continued efforts inspire us all to make a difference in the world.
