We are thrilled to announce that several of our WADADA girls and boys are embarking on a new educational journey! Pictured in this post are David and Joyce, who are entering Junior High School, and Lilian and Joyce M., who joined High School. We are excited to watch as they learn, grow and thrive in school!
While childhood education is often taken for granted in the United States, it is a privilege in Kenya. In fact, according to the World Health Organization, only 14.3% of girls enroll in secondary school and approximately 49% of the female youth (ages 15-24) are considered illiterate. The path to education is difficult due to a variety of socio-economic factors.
At Hope for the Hopeless, we believe that education is the cornerstone of empowerment and transformation. Our mission is not just about providing aid, but about fostering sustainable change through education.
With the support of generous donors like you, we are able to make a tangible difference in the lives of these young individuals, providing essential resources, such as school fees, uniforms, and supplies. This support allows each child the opportunity to pursue their dreams.
Continue to check back to hear more about their achievements in school and beyond. And please consider making a donation to help more girls and boys achieve their dream of education! Together, we can empower the next generation of leaders in Kenya and beyond.
