A message from Hope for the Hopeless’ President: Ken Yockey
We want to take a moment to share a powerful testimony of faith from the last month—a glimpse into how the Lord continues to lead, provide, and move through Hope for the Hopeless in both quiet and miraculous ways.
As many of you know, Rev. Nelly’s heart for the children is unwavering. It is her goal to hold a Children’s Rally every school holiday to bring joy, fellowship, teaching and worship to hundreds of children in remote areas. However, with the April school holiday approaching, our funds were considerably low—not only for the Children’s Rally, but for covering upcoming school fees and operating costs for the WADADA Children’s Center and staff.
I had to explain to Rev. Nelly that we didn’t have the funds for either. We had many difficult conversations, but she never wavered. She continued to pray and stand firm, believing that if the Lord wanted the Rally to happen, He would make a way.
And He did.
By the end of that week, donations began to arrive—just enough to bring us close to covering school fees. Then, the Evangelical Free Church of Green Valley, AZ, stepped in with a commitment toward the Rally. Still, we were short. But God wasn’t finished. In the days that followed, more donations came in—enough for school fees and a small reserve. Then, on Thursday afternoon, enough funding arrived to fully cover the Children’s Rally!
Praise the Lord!. This journey has been a test of faith—mine especially—and a reminder that God sees every detail.
This month’s Children’s Rally officially kicked off today April 23rd and will last through 25th in the remote bush community of Naggagatak. We are expecting a large turnout and are grateful for the opportunity to reach these young souls.
Thank you to each of you who helped make this possible through your prayers, hope, and generosity. Your support is creating a deep and lasting impact on the children and young people we serve. We invite you to check back in the coming days to see how your hope is being transformed into real change as we share updates from the Rally.
While our funds are once again low, we are holding strong in our faith that the Lord will provide. If your heart is moved to help us prepare for the next wave of ministry, we invite you to give. Every gift helps us continue this incredible work.
With gratitude and faith,
Ken Yockey
