In the U.S., “Back to School” season is a time of excitement. Families are busy buying new shoes, backpacks, and supplies. But for the children we serve in Kenya, “Back to School” looks very different.
Rising school fees are making it harder than ever for vulnerable children to receive an education. Without help, many at-risk children face heartbreaking alternatives: early marriage, child labor, or a life trapped in cycles of poverty.
At Hope for the Hopeless, we step into these moments of crisis. We are honored to support more than 60 incredible children. But their education depends on us being able to pay their school fees.
Kenya’s schools require tuition, uniforms, and supplies before a child can attend. With rising costs, we are falling short of what is needed to keep every child in class.
Rev. Nelly shares, “The government changed the program of school holidays and we're having a challenge. Even the way they're supplying books and other essentials…it's not easy but God is still in control.”
This Back-to-School season, while families in the U.S. prepare their children for a new school year, we invite you to help children in Kenya do the same. Your support directly covers school fees and makes education possible for those who would otherwise be left behind.
Together, we can make sure that “Back to School” means hope, not hardship.
Please donate today and help us continue providing education to these incredible children, giving them the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
