Margaret came through surgery well and is now in recovery. We are deeply grateful for the many prayers offered on her behalf over the past several days. The outpouring of love was truly overwhelming in the best way.
For those who did not see our recent Facebook post, Margaret is very special to our ministry. She is one of the original girls who stowed away in the back of Rev. Nelly’s vehicle years ago. During a visit to Torosei, Rev. Nelly already had two girls in her care, but six more hid under blankets in her car. When they were discovered, the girls said they wanted to go to school. Rev. Nelly took them all in and made that possible. Today she is in high school and nearing graduation.
Last week, she was hospitalized with serious medical concerns and required surgery. By God’s grace, the procedure went well, and she is now resting.
Margaret recorded a brief message of thanks shortly after surgery. She had just come out and is understandably tired, so you may need to turn your volume up a bit — but we wanted you to hear directly from her.
