As we step into a new year, we are filled with hope and determination to continue changing lives. We are excited to share that four new children have joined our WADADA family.
Happiness and Her Siblings
Happiness has been part of the WADADA family for some time now. However, after losing her mother to a tragic snakebite during the last term of school, Happiness faced pressure from her family in Pokot to leave school to care for her younger siblings. Reverend Nelly was able to negotiate with her family to allow Happiness to stay in school until she took the final test. Afterward, Happiness went home to care for her siblings.
Rev. Nelly accompanied Happiness home. During that time, she developed a relationship with Happiness’ family and offered to bring all four children to the WADADA House. The offer was accepted and now Happiness is back at the WADADA House, along with her brother and two sisters.
We are so thankful that Happiness and her siblings can remain together, while still pursuing their education.
Jane
Jane is an orphan from the Masasai Land area of Magadi. With few resources, her uncles intended to sell Jane for early marriage. Mercifully, Rev. Nelly and contacts in the community affiliated with FaithChurch Kenya were able to rescue Jane. She is now living in the WADADA House and gearing up for the next school term.
