All of the children in the Wadada Children’s House are home from school on holiday. Many go to different schools, so it is always a reunion when they come home. They love seeing everyone and catching up, and we love seeing them together again!
Several considerations go into determining where a student goes to school, including aptitude, previous educational experience, learning difficulties and disabilities. Many of our students were deprived either during their mother’s pregnancy or oxygen deprivation during birth, while some didn’t get enough to eat as infants, toddlers, or small children. All of this can effect brain development. Being in the Wadada program is the first time they have had enough to eat, ever!
We are thankful to be able to provide food that nourishes their bodies, and the education that nourishes their minds. Please consider donating to Hope for the Hopeless today to help reach more children in need.
